There are many fun things to do with your dog. For the next several issues I will be introducing fun activities you can enjoy with your canine friend. I will be interviewing trainers and participants of these activities.
Today’s sport is dog herding. A herding dog, also known as a stock dog or working dog has either been trained in herding or belongs to breeds developed for herding. This “work” can be a lot of fun for both the canine and their human.
Today’s interview is with Claire Apple, owner of the Not Quite Right Farm in Pittsboro, NC.
Claire provides both family obedience dog training as well as sheepdog and herding training for all breeds.Using positive training methods to achieve your personal goals, she gives you lasting skills to deal with future situations. She works with you to build a stronger relationship with your dog and solve problems that may be preventing you from enjoying your canine companion.
